How the pokémon go purify calculator works
The Pokémon GO purify calculator applies the standard +2 change to each Attack, Defense, and Stamina IV, capped at 15. It also previews the 20 percent reduction commonly applied to Stardust and Candy power-up costs. Enter the three appraised IVs to see the exact post-purification spread.
Each IV increases independently. A 10/13/15 shadow becomes 12/15/15; the Stamina value cannot exceed the legal maximum. The appraisal percentage is the sum of the three values divided by 45. Because capping can discard part of the nominal increase, a high starting spread may gain fewer than six total IV points.
Purification also raises level to the game’s purification level where applicable and replaces the charged move Frustration with Return, subject to current rules. Those changes can alter CP beyond the +2 IV effect. This tool isolates the stable IV and resource arithmetic and does not recommend whether to purify.
Shadow Pokémon have a battle damage bonus and defensive penalty under current GO mechanics. Those effects can outweigh an appraisal percentage increase for raids or some PvP roles. Species, moves, league cap, available resources, and collection goals all matter. Preserve a shareable link to compare the numeric before/after spread without treating it as strategy advice.
Worked example
A 13/13/13 shadow gains two points in every component and becomes 15/15/15, rising from 86.7% to 100%. A 14/15/10 spread becomes 15/15/12: the first two values cap, so only three total points are gained. A nominal 5,000 Stardust and 5 Candy power-up step becomes 4,000 Stardust and 4 Candy after the 20% discount.
How to read the result
The post-purification IVs are exact under the +2 rule, but the best choice is not implied. Compare shadow and purified battle performance in the intended format. The cost field shows a per-step discounted amount and does not include the one-time purification cost or every later level step.
